During May 2022, the ninth Inspired by Heart campaign was organized by Intesa Sanpaolo Bank and Visa. The campaign lasted for 30 days during which users of Visa Inspire and Visa Platinum cards contributed with an amount of BAM 0.10 per transaction, thus taking part in this donation at no additional cost. In this regard, Visa card users of Intesa Sanpaolo Banka made large number of transactions during this month, so this year the organizers will be able to donate BAM 38,000 for humanitarian purposes.

“We at Intesa Sanpaolo Banka are very proud of every form of help to the society in which we operate, but the Inspired by Heart campaign is really something special for us because through it, together with Visa and our clients, we support the very places where life as such begins – maternity hospitals. Since the first campaign until today, we have managed to allocate and donate more than BAM 200,000. Over the previous years, majority went out to maternity hospitals, while the rest was used for medical treatments of our fellow citizens, for helping associations, schools and BiH population after relentless floods in May 2014. We are looking forward to the next Inspired by Heart campaign as we will celebrate its jubilee next year.  We can already say it will be quite different from the previous ones”, said Marco Trevisan, CEO of Intesa Sanpaolo Banka.

Since 2019, it has been decided that the further focus of this campaign will be exclusively on maternity hospitals in BiH. In this regard, from then until today, the equipment has been donated to maternity hospitals being partsof general hospitals or health centers in Mostar, Banja Luka, Tuzla, Travnik, Gracanica, Sarajevo, Livno, Prijedor and Kakanj. This year’s donation will be presented to the Cantonal Hospital Zenica and the University Clinical Center Tuzla, i.e. their gynecology departments.

In addition to Visa card users of Intesa Sanpaolo Bank and Visa, the campaign was supported through the partnership with RSG radio and Klix.ba.

Facts:

In 2013, we donated BAM 18,000 for the medical treatment of our fellow citizens at foreign clinics;

In 2014, we donated BAM19,000 for the recovery of flooded areas and people who lost everything in the catastrophic floods that hit BiH;

In 2015, we donated an additional BAM 22,000 for the same purpose in order to help people who lost their homes in the floods to rehabilitate it;

In 2016, we raised BAM 24,000 to equip children’s playrooms, kitchens and purchase medical devices for pediatric clinics in Banja Luka, Mostar, Tuzla, Travnik and Sarajevo;

In 2017, we collected BAM 24,000 and donated it for purpose of equipping the Institute for the Care of Mentally Disabled Children and Youth in Pazarić, Home-Family in Zenica, Home for Children without Care in Tuzla, Children’s Home in Mostar, Dom Rade Vranješević in Banja Luka and Mother’s Village in Medjugorje;

In 2018, we collected BAM 20,000 andawarded it to the Mirsad Prnjavorac school in Vogošća for the refurbishment of the sanitary facilities in the entire school;

In 2019, we collected BAM 32,000 and donated it for the purchase of medical equipment for maternity hospitals within the General Hospital “Dr Mustafa Beganović” in Gračanica, Health Center in Kakanj and General Hospital “Prim. Dr. Abdulah Nakash” in Sarajevo;

In 2020, the campaign was not organized due to the Covid-19 pandemic;

In 2021, BAM 36,000 were collected and donated for the purchase of medical equipment for the pediatric wards of the County Hospital “Dr. Mihovil Sučić ”in Livno and General Hospital -“ dr. Mladen Stojanović” in Prijedor.

This year, BAM 38,000 were collected and will be donated for the equipment of the maternity hospital within the Cantonal Hospital Zenica and the University Clinical Center Tuzla.

For the first nine years of the campaign, we collected and donated BAM 233,000.
