Sarajevo 28.4.2023, It has been more than ten years ago that Intesa Sanpaolo Banka and Visa have initiated the socially responsible campaign Inspired by Heart aimed at helping the local community within which the Bank operates.  Being welcomed by the general public, the campaign was implemented again in 2014. This time, funds were directed towards helping the BiH population affected by the floods.  Ever since, the campaign recurred on an annual basis, wherein donated funds kept increasing and were routed towards different organisations or institutions.

From 2019 onwards, the campaign focused solely on helping maternity wards in hospitals throughout BiH since these words, where new generations are born, are in most need for the assistance of socially responsible companies.  Unfortunately, the campaign was not implemented in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but nonetheless resumed its course in 2021.  Therein, the campaign marks its 10th anniversary this May and will be implemented in the period from the 1st to 31st of May.

“This year is of special importance for our Bank since we mark two anniversaries – 15 years of our operations in BiH under the name of Intesa Sanpaolo Banka and 10 years of successful social responsibility campaign “Inspired by Heart”.  Since the very onset of this campaign, thus also including the last year’s campaign, the Bank and Visa have donated more than BAM 230,000 to different organisations, associations or institutions to support their work and activities.  These campaigns makes us strive and persistent in this effort since, over the years,  we have come to realise that every maternity ward is in need of ongoing help. Hence, it is our goal to continue helping them in the years to come”, stated Mr. Marco Trevisan, President of the Management Board, of Intesa Sanpaolo Banka.

Since the campaign is being realised hand in hand with Visa, this means that all Visa Inspire and Visa Platinum holders effecting their card payments during May 2023 will help this humanitarian campaign.  For every card payment, the Bank and Visa will allocate an amount of BAM 0.10 free of charge and donate it for humanitarian purposes.

Results of this year’s campaign, i.e. amount of collected funds will be disclosed in June, as well as the names of maternity words – recipients of the new equipment.  This year’s campaign is also supported by our media partners – RSG radio and Klix.ba.
