• Letters of credit

Letter of credit is payment instrument by which order-issuing authority, through bank, allows user of letter or credit a certain amount, which user is paid when fulfilled certain conditions defined by letter of credit. Payments with documentary letter of credit are considered safe and acceptable for participants in payment system as they protect interest of both the buyer and the seller, more than any other payment instrument. 

If you import goods/services from abroad Intesa Sanpaolo Banka will ensure payment is made if terms of letter of credit are met.

If you export goods abroad Intesa Sanpaolo Banka can offer advice on preliminary preparation and overviews of documents.

• ​​Guarantees

Guarantee is insurance instrument in domestic and international operations by which bank guarantees to user that it will pay the guarantee amount if the main debtor does not fulfill his obligations. The user is safe to be paid his receivable, and debtor is assured that collection will be made exclusively according to guarantee conditions.

• Documentary collection

Documentary collection is payment and collection instrument based on documents (collection of payments). It is applied by business partners that have built business relations, taking into account that the debtor’s bank does not take the obligation to pay by this collection but only proceeds in line with documentary collection instructions.
