Letter of credit

Letter of credit is payment instrument by which order-issuing authority, through bank, allows user of letter or credit a certain amount, which user is paid when fulfilled certain conditions defined by letter of credit. Payments with documentary letter of credit are considered safe and acceptable for participants in payment system as they protect interest of both the buyer and the seller, more than any other payment instrument.
