INTESA SANPAOLO BANKA BiH APPOINTS MARCO TREVISAN AS NEW PRESIDENT OF THE MANAGEMENT BOARD
Sarajevo, January 11, 2021 –At the session of the Supervisory Board of the Intesa Sanpaolo Bank BiH, held on January 5, 2021., Mr. Marco Trevisan was appointed as the new President of the Management Board, following the approval already given by the Banking Agency of the FBiH (FBA).
Mr. Trevisan has been appointed for a four-year mandate, while the current President of the Management Board, Mr. Almir Krkalić, will be given a new important position within the Intesa Sanpaolo Group. Mr. Trevisan expressed great pleasure that he was given the opportunity to be the head of this Bank, as well as to get to know Bosnia and Herzegovina, its people and regions.

Mr. Trevisan has an extensive international banking experience and has held a number of responsible positions within the Intesa Sanpaolo Group, including Director of the Credit Transformation Group for Large, Complex and International Companies (2019-2020), based in Milan; CEO of the Middle East, Turkey and Africa Region, based in Dubai (2016-2019); CEO in Turkey, based in Istanbul (2014-2016); GRM in International Legal Entities – UK, Scandinavia and CEE, based in London (2011-2013), GRM for Client Relations – International Legal Entities, based in Milan (2009-2011), etc.
Mr. Trevisan was born in 1965 in Monfalcone (Italy), he graduated in Economics (University of Trieste) and has a master’s degree in corporate finance (Bocconi University of Milan).
Beside the President, the Management Board of Intesa Sanpaolo Bank BiH includes four other members: Stefano Borsari (CFO), Alek Bakalović (Head of Corporate & SME Division), Amir Termiz (Head of Retail Division) and Edin Izmirlija (CRO).
