Intesa Sanpaolo Banka supported the work of the Service Centers Give us a chance

Intesa Sanpaolo Banka, through its donations this year, supported the work of several associations that primarily deal with helping vulnerable categories of the population in Bosnia and Herzegovina. During this week, Stefano Borsari, member of the Management Board of Intesa Sanpaolo Banka and Lejla Dizdarević, Head of PR and Marketing Communication Department visited the Association of Families of Children and Persons with Developmental Disabilities, Give us a chance, and give them a donation in the form of assistance for the smooth functioning of the Association. The organization provides a unique set of support services for families of children and people with disabilities at the level of mental health, social integration and legal protection. Since 2014 this association opened their support centers in addition to Sarajevo in other cities (Banja Luka, Foča, Zenica, Trebinje and Zavidovići) and today more than 1100 families use their services.

“The Intesa Sanpaolo Group, as well as Intesa Sanpaolo Banka BiH, is proud to respond to any type of support when it comes to the activities of certain associations, all with the goal of facilitating the work of organizations or associations that need help the most vulnerable people in the community. This year, we have decided to financially support the work of the association Give us a chance, and in this way train the smooth functioning of their mobile team in Sarajevo”, announced from Intesa Sanpaolo Banka.

The Association’s mobile team represents field support in the family’s home – for families who do not have the opportunity to leave their home due to a high degree of disability of the child/person, combined difficulties, poor psychophysical condition of the parents, architectural obstacles. The mobile team is composed of experts and trained volunteers is organized depending on the needs of the family. At the family’s address, support services are provided similar to those at the Service Centers, which means psychological support for family members, individual work with the child/person with developmental disabilities, care for the child/person with developmental disabilities to allow the parent free time, and informational and legal support.
