Postponed payment up to 50 days
Whole buying you pay with American Express card in one calendar month is collected for payment until 20th of the next month, and you pay only the costs you really made, without additional interest or hidden fees.
Payment by instalment without interest and fees
Payment by instalment is possible at large number of sales points throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina. Instalments are also without interest and fees. The maximum number of instalments is 12, and the buying amount is very clearly and simply divided in monthly instalments.

American Express general information
For having American Express card in Intesa Sanpaolo Banka d.d. Bosna i Hercegovina residents can apply who hold residence in Bosnia and Herzegovina and have permanent monthly regular income.
American Express bank card is intended for payment of goods and services in Bosnia and Herzegovina and abroad, it can be used for one-time payment with interest-free postponement up to 50 days or for instalment payment without interest and fees, which allows you more flexibility in managing personal finance.
NEW functionality of American Express card!
From 08.10.2019 all new members immediately become users of new contactless American Express card. The existing users will be delivered new American Express card upon expiry or replacement.
Intesa Sanpaolo Banka offers you two types of American Express cards, namely:
- AMERICAN EXPRESS card.
- AMERICAN EXPRESS Gold card.
AMERICAN EXPRESS card offers the following benefits:
FINANCIAL BENEFITS
- American Express card you can use for one-time payment with interest-free postponement up to 50 days or for instalment payment without interest and fees.* In addition, you are allowed to withdraw cash up to EUR 150,00 in Bosnia and Herzegovina and abroad every 30 days.
CONTACTLESS PAYMENT
- The card has the most up-to-date chip technology and supports contactless payment at sales points which have sign “contactless transactions” and accept American Express cards. If the buying amount is smaller or equal to 30,00 KM, it is enough to lean the card against the contactless card reader, without need to sign confirmation (slip) on made transaction.
3D SECURE PROGRAM
- The card supports secure online buying with 3D Secure program. When paying on internet, you must enter one-off code that you will receive via SMS message on mobile phone number you registered in the Bank.
SECURITY
- In case of card losing or theft, after reporting loss you are not responsible for costs made by its third-party misuse.
SERVICE
- The customer center is available 24 hours a day and in journeys abroad you have “Global Assist” available that offers medical, legal, and other help.
TRAVEL INSURANCE
- You are insured during travel abroad in case of permanent disability or death caused by accident.
MY ACCOUNT
- „My account“ allows you overview and listing of all your accounts and non-invoiced costs, which you can seehere,
ADDITIONAL USER
- You may ask for member of your close family, who is older than 16 years, to be issued additional American Express card.

What documentation is required?
- Copy of personal ID card.
- Residence certificate (CIPS) – not older than 6 months.
- Three last salary slips signed and verified by authorized person of the company/for pensioners last pension slip.
- Original confirmation on employment signed and verified by the authorized person of the company.
- Copy of registration document of the company for company owners/co-owners.
How to become user of AMERICAN EXPRESS card?
To become user of American Express it is enough to fill-in the application form and submit it together with required documentation to your nearest agency of our Bank.
