Sarajevo, October 14th 2025 – In order to respond to the current burning issue in BiH - sustainability of the public pension system, the Intesa Sanpaolo Banka presented its brand new product – Pension insurance. In that regard, a partnership agreement was signed between Intesa Sanpaolo Banka and Vienna Insurance VIG, making this Bank the first bank in Bosnia and Herzegovina to offer such a unique pension product to its customers. Making this strategic step, Intesa Sanpaolo Banka further expanded the range of its services and confirmed its position as a leader in the field of innovation at the financial market.

The Pension insurance is a life insurance product, in which, at the moment of concluding the contract, the policyholder chooses the amount and period to pay the premium, as well as the desired amount and period for pension payment. This product can be contracted by persons up to 80 years of age, which is a unique opportunity for older citizens who so far had no access to life insurance services.

The product was developed in cooperation with Vienna Insurance VIG, the leading life-insurer in BiH and a long-term partner of the Bank, with which the Bank has already implemented numerous joint insurance-related projects.
