Intesa Sanpaolo Banka BiH: Michele Castoro is the new President of the Management Board 

Sarajevo, October 22, 2024 - At the 16th session of the Supervisory Board of Intesa Sanpaolo Banka Bosna I Hercegovina in 2024, which was held on October 18, 2024, a new Management Board of Intesa Sanpaolo Banka BiH was appointed. Michele Castoro is the new President of the Management Board and Minja Filipović is his Deputy President and Management Board Member, subject to the previously received approval from the FBiH Banking Agency.  

Michele Castoro has so far held the position of Deputy President and Member of the Management Board of Intesa Sanpaolo Banka BiH and is certainly well acquainted with all the activities of the Bank internally but also externally in the marketplace. Minja Filipović, also has extensive experience in Intesa Sanpaolo Banka BiH. She took over this new function, thus coming from the position of the Executive Director of the Retail Division. 
The former President of the Management Board, Marco Trevisan, after 4 years spent in BiH, continues his career path in Intesa Sanpaolo Group.

On the occasion of his appointment as the Management Board President, Michele Castoro stated: “After three years spent working as Deputy President and Member of the Management Board, it is a great pleasure for me to be given the opportunity to be at the helm of this Bank from this point forward.  Since my arrival to this beautiful Country, I have learned a lot about the population, culture, tradition, corporations, policies, but also all market trends, which will certainly make things easier for me in my new position as President of the Management. Also, another positive circumstance is that I am familiar with internal processes, employees, but also the Bank's position on the market in general.” 

In addition to his experience in Intesa Sanpaolo Banka BiH. Michele Castoro also has twelve years of experience within Intesa Sanpaolo Group, as he previously held these positions: Head of the Risk Management at Pravex Bank (member of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group - Ukraine), Head of the Risk Management Department at Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Slovenia, and Deputy General Manager and Head of the Risk Management at Eximbank (member of Intesa Sanpaolo - Moldova).

Minja Filipović is a long-time employee of Intesa Sanpaolo Banka BiH, who has spent her entire carrier in various positions with this Bank. She arrived to the function of the Deputy President and Member of the Management Board from the position of Executive Director of the Retail Division, thus adding couple of words on this occasion: "To my great satisfaction, I am taking on a completely new function on my professional path and I am very pleased with the fact that Intesa Sanpaolo Italy,  but also my colleagues at Intesa Sanpaolo Banka BiH, have recognised my effort, knowledge and commitment to this Bank insofar.   In my new position, I will continue to contribute both with my experience and hard work.” 

Michele Castoro and Minja Filipović, together with Indira Karamustafić, the Management Board Member appointed earlier this year and Chief Risk Officer of the Bank, will form the new composition of the Management Board of Intesa Sanpaolo Banka BiH, which will work to further strengthen the Bank's position in the market, but also to ensure an overly new level of customer satisfaction when it comes to products and services.
